A good looking, well balanced loco I think John. On the technical side the driving axle spacing tells us that the piston rods or on to the middle drivers, whilst the larger spacing between it and the leading driving axle gives the room required for the valve gear. The trailing driving axle would be very close to the ash pan though and possibly be a hindrance getting to the boiler mud doors.
The brake blocks have me guessing a little for they appear to be at the front of the leading wheel and to the rear of the trailing set. I assume that the brake cylinder must be amidships somewhere operating via an opposed leverage.
Some quite interesting features to be looked at on the class.
